** The Secret To Getting All The Writing Gigs You Want, Free **
I’ve been sharing my writing gig-getting secrets with my writing students for years, but this nifty way of getting writing gigs and selling products deserves to be more widely known. Here it is - Craigslist. Craiglist is completely free to use to get writing and editing gigs.
I recently stumbled across the The Craigslist Profits Guide and knew I had to share it with you. It enables you to use Craigslist to its fullest potential. I’ve been using Craigslist for years, and many of the ideas were completely new to me.
It’s 41 pages packed with info, and here’s the best news: you can profit from this ebook when you sell it to others.
So go ahead - this ebook has to be one of the big bargains of 2007. Without hyping it too much, if you use the tactics described, you can double and triple what you make from your writing this year.

[Editorial] Advertising Yourself As A Writer
In this week’s issue, we discuss the gentle art of advertising YOURSELF: that is, advertising your skills as a writer.
The thought of advertising may be foreign to you. Please don’t wince. I assure you that it’s much more fun to have clients coming to you to hire you, rather than gig hunting, which is what most writers do.
Read the article (scroll down.) It’s vital that you discover the power of advertising yourself and your writing services, because if you’re a competent writer, there’s only one thing that’s preventing you getting highly paid writing gigs, and that’s self-promotion.
Once you understand the power of self promotion, and how much fun it is not to waste time hunting gigs you’ll be well on the way to developing the outstanding writing career that you deserve.
Enjoy.
Affectionately,
Angela

You Can Become A Web Publisher Too: Become A Web Mogul
For the past year, I’ve been receiving messages from writers who want to create their own Web sites. They’ve heard how much money there is in Web publishing, and want a piece of the action.
So, I’ve written a new ebook, “Super-Fast Money-Making Web Sites For Writers: Join The Web-Publishing Bonanza”.
The ebook (and its fabulous bonus ebook) outlines step by step, with images, how to create Web MONEY-MAKING sites fast. What could YOU do with an extra $300 a day?

** Imagine… $1,000 A Week For Just Ten Hours **
You can get paid to blog. The current rate for experienced bloggers is around $1,000 to $1500 a week for from two to five posts a day - VERY nice writing income.
Find out how to blog with the blogging best-seller “Blogging For Dollars: How to become a career blogger — in your PJs, if you want”. It’s my complete new ebook package, with free coaching/ consultations as well.

Want to be paid what you’re worth as a writer? If you do, you need to learn the gentle art of advertising yourself: that is, promoting yourself and your writing skills.
Many writers feel that advertising and self-promotion is a crass activity. You’ll find these same writers routinely complaining about “low pay for writers”. What these writers never realize is that other writers - the crass, self-promoting ones - are getting paid sums they’d salivate over, if only they knew.
Advertising Yourself As A Freelance Writer Makes Sense
What would you think of a restaurant which had no signs out front, no menu displayed, and which never advertised in any newspaper? Since the restaurant never bothered to advertise, it would never get any diners.
A horrifying number of freelance writers are just like that restaurant. They never bother to tell anyone that they write, and what they write. To get writing gigs, they go chasing after gigs that thousands of other writers chase after. These jobs may not be suitable for them at all, but since the writing gigs are advertised, they must be desirable.
Worse, these writers never learn how to present themselves to potential clients at these gigs they’re running after… they act as if they’re applying for a job and send in a CV/ resume package. The more daring send in some clips. Since they’ve just joined a queue of 3000 other writers sending in resumes and clips, they’re never even considered for the gigs. Who in their right mind has time to go through thousands of resumes for a gig which pays $200?
Writing gigs go to KNOWN writers, whenever possible. And to get known, you need to advertise.
An Easy Way To Advertise Your Writing Skills: Craigslist
The Internet has made advertising and self-promotion for writers a breeze. All you need is a simple Web site, to act as your portfolio, and a few simple ads. Easy peasy. Anyone can do it. If you want to get all the writing gigs you can handle, you must do it.
Using Craigslist is one way to advertise your writing services. Craigslist works. It’s free. So this is what I usually recommend to writers who are new to advertising their writing skills. You can’t lose when you advertise on Craigslist.
I tout Craigslist to all my writing students, so here are two successes.
Stephanie’s a student teacher, working on a novel. She wanted some part-time work, and thought that editing would give her some useful writing experience. She advertised on Craigslist and was hired by a New York publisher to help edit an upcoming book - she had just the right combination of enthusiasm and experience that was needed. She now has contacts in New York publishing, thanks to Craigslist.
Adam always wanted to write full-time, but put it off because he was raising a family. When he was made redundant, I suggested he advertise on Craigslist. He did, and within a week he had more work than he could handle. He was hired as a full-time pro blogger by a software company. He’s also helping a sports star to work on his autobiography, thanks to Craigslist.
Advertising Your Writing Skills Works: You Can Do It Too
Remember that restaurant. You need to advertise. Once you become aware of the power of a little gentle advertising, your writing career will take off. There are hundreds of other ways you can advertise and promote yourself. Start off with Craigslist to get your feet wet, so to speak.
You’ll be surprised, and pleased. And since you can take your pick of writing gigs which are offered to you, you’ll be paid what you’re worth.
I’d wish you luck, but you don’t need it. Get started advertising yourself today.

* The Unlimited Writing Market, The Web **
When you write for the Web, you’re never out of writing work. All Web sites need writers, and as the competition online grows, site owners hire writers to improve their sites.
The writing world in general hasn’t caught up with the Web. Now, YOU can — and you can cash in. Freelance writers just don’t realize how much money there is to be made by writing for the Web: many writers use the Web as a research tool, they don’t see the Web as a mass of millions of markets. They don’t realize that Web sites are STARVED for good writers.
Want to get paid REAL money to write? How does $150 an hour sound to you? Discover how to write for the Web today.
